Who we are

The Hide makes leather jackets in Sialkot, Pakistan, and sells them on this website and on WhatsApp. We are responsible for the details you give us here. You can reach us at [email] or on WhatsApp at [+92 3XX XXXXXXX]. Our address is [business address].

What we keep

Your account. Your name, your email address and your password. We never store the password itself, only a scrambled version of it (a hash) that cannot be turned back into your password. The same goes for your recovery code.
Your orders. The jackets, colours, sizes and initials you choose; the name, phone number, city and address for delivery; any delivery notes; the payment method you pick; and, if the order is a gift, the card note and who it is from.
Sign-in safety. When a password is typed wrongly, we note the email address and the time, so we can pause sign-in after too many tries. These notes are deleted after a day.
What you send us on WhatsApp. Your messages, and any photos or payment receipts you share there, stay in our WhatsApp chat with you.

We do not take card numbers or bank details on this website. Payments by bank transfer, JazzCash, Easypaisa or a card payment link happen with those providers, under their own privacy policies.

The newsletter form on this website does not store your email yet. If we start a newsletter, we will update this page first.

Why we keep it

To make, pack and deliver your order, and to talk to you about it.
To show your past orders in your account.
To keep your account safe, for example by stopping someone guessing your password.
To handle exchanges, returns and any problem with your jacket.

We do not sell your details, and we do not use them for advertising.

Who else sees it

Cloudflare hosts this website and stores your account and orders for us.
WhatsApp (Meta) carries the messages when you send us your order or talk to us there.
Our courier, [courier name], receives your name, phone number and address to deliver your parcel.
Your payment provider sees the payment you make to us.
This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts and part of its 3D display from jsDelivr. Like any website, those services see your device's address when they send those files.

We share only what each one needs, and we would only give your details to anyone else if the law required it.

Cookies and your browser

When you sign in, we set one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, or until you sign out. Your bag is saved in your own browser so it is still there next time; it is not sent to us until you order. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account until you ask us to close it. We keep order records for [number] years, for our accounts and for any exchange or repair. When you close your account, we delete your details except the order records we have to keep.

What you can ask us

Keeping it safe

Your password and recovery code are stored only as hashes. Connections to this website are encrypted. Your orders can be seen only by you, when you are signed in, and by The Hide. If something ever went wrong with your details, we would tell you.

If we change how we use your details, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
